Investor Spotlight: John and Sarah Finn

Investor Spotlight: John and Sarah Finn

Meet Sarah and John Finn, hard-working, family-centric jetsetters who love traveling with their daughters (and now sons-in-law), many friends, and extended family. As this adventurous Denver-based couple gazes onto the horizon of their 40th wedding anniversary, they share some exciting bucket-list vacations planned to celebrate four magical decades together.

Sarah and John’s travel itch began early on when much needed rest and relaxation from their corporate careers piqued their adventurous side, and each year they add extraordinary trips to their growing travel log.

Investing in Appreciating Assets

The Finns learned about Equity Estates after close friends (who are now Equity Estates Fund IV investors) invited them on a trip to a vacation club home. Sarah loved the idea of investing in vacation homes but favored access to residences in multiple locations, desired direct equity in the properties, and preferred a defined term to divest. After researching a myriad of club options, Sarah and John decided the Equity Estates model was the ideal investment because it met all their needs.

Since investing in 2016, the Finns have traveled to Equity Estates residences all over the map. They’ve enjoyed time exploring their home state of Colorado, sipped daiquiris at sunset on the beach on The Emerald Coast, played many rounds of golf with friends on the Big Island and Punta Cana, tasted wine with renowned sommeliers in Napa, snorkeled in the gorgeous waters of Hawaii and experienced amazing meals with private chefs across the country.

Pleasant Surprises

When asked what aspect of Equity Estates pleasantly surprised them the most, Sarah and John agreed it’s the superior level of service and trip planning the Personal Travel Concierge delivers. They also love being greeted at the property with a fully stocked kitchen, all the consumables they could ever need, and a friendly Local Host on call to cater to their needs.

“Every kitchen is equipped for a chef,” noted Sarah. “This is key because we love to stay in and cook when we travel with large groups and many homes on the open rental market aren’t stocked for private chefs or large dinner parties.”

As far as their favorite homes go, the Finns agreed The Big Island residence is amazing. “From the spacious outdoor living with a big screen TV to the easy access to snorkeling and golf and the gorgeous sunsets, it just can’t be beat.” They also adore the Punta Cana home and the staff available to make their stay a breeze.

“We loved the personality and feel of Equity Estates from our first conversations, and we continue to be impressed with the homes, the level of service and how easy everyone is to work with,” said Sarah.
