St. John is the smallest and most exclusive of the three U.S. Virgin Islands. Two-thirds of the island is a protected national park, which lends itself to some incredible hiking and sightseeing of sugar plantations from decades past. St. John is also known for various beaches like Trunk Bay (consistently rated in the Top 10 in the world by most publications) and others like Cinnamon Bay and Caneel Bay, which are just as beautiful and often less crowded.

This world-class stretch of sugar sand coastline and turquoise water is St. John’s most photographed beach, and for good reason. It’s a great place to spend the day relaxing and soaking up the Caribbean sun. Try out the marked underwater trail for snorkelers, and take a photo sitting on the famous curved palm tree.
