Garfs, as the locals call it, in Lionshead Village is the perfect place to unwind after a long day on the slopes. With one of the best outdoor patios in all of Vail, its menu features great food and drink specials. Though it doesn’t quite fit the Vail mold you may be accustomed to, its classic ski bar vibe will surprise and delight you.

Ride the gondola up Vail Mountain, where you’ll find great dining options and even better views. In the winter, you’ll have access to plenty of ski trails from here. In the summer, Epic Discovery Park offers tons of fun, family-friendly activities.

In the warmer months, rent a bike and cruise the trail along Gore Creek. The river is quite scenic, with snowmelt rushing over the rocks and beautiful trees lining the path. Don’t be intimidated—you can take a fairly flat path and avoid the steep climbs if you’d like.
